PCC chairman Dave Dunn chaired this year's AGM and
was happy to report another year of progress for the club both on and
off the field.
He hailed the 2008 season as probably THE most
successful year in the club's history, the highlights of which included:
* The opening of the new pavillion.
* Both the 1st and 2nd XI's winning their respective leagues
* The continuing progress of the youth set-up with up to 120 youngsters
turning up on Sunday's throughout the season
* The emergence of several youth players into the 1st XI making vital
contributions
* Voted the best outfield in the county, 7th best pitch and also in the
top 5 for facilities once the new pavilion was opened
* ECB Clubmark accreditation achieved thanks to youth set-up and other
facilities
* Poulton becoming recognised throughout the county for their
contribution to the development of the game of cricket
Following the unfortunate resignations of both Will
Bathurst as 1st XI captain and Jonny Gardiner as 2nd XI captain, along
with Jez Mundy as Vice-Chairman and Club Secretary, the following
personnel have now been voted in as club officers for the 2009 season*
(with the exception of the 1st XI captain which is yet to be confirmed):
