saw the culmination of over 10 years work by Poulton Cricket Club when
they celebrated with the trustee of Poulton Playing Field and Allotment
Charity the grand opening of their new Pavilion. Representatives of all
the organisations who had donated funds for the project and who had been
instrumental in fund raising took part in a ribbon cutting ceremony.
The day started with a Service of Dedication in
Poulton Church and with David Dunn, Chairman of Poulton CC, handing the
key of the Pavilion to Mrs Jane Lomas, Chair of Poulton Playing Field
and Allotment Charity. Jane also received a citation awarding her Life
Membership of Poulton Cricket Club. Also in attendance were John Light,
Chairman of Gloucestershire County Cricket Board and Mike Bailey,
Cricket Development Manager of Gloucestershire. |
